Thanks to my new found friend and kaki, Stephen who introduced me to this pond. I have always wanted to try the pond long time ago but timing was always wrong. Stephen was free and brought me to the Aunty pond which is his usual playground. He showed me all the ropes and tricks on where to get the fishes. It was so true that he started landed fishes not too long we started. Overall, it was an awesome trip with a very good haul of fishes and companion. I managed a total of 6 fishes with different varieties in the bag for just 3 hours of fishing.

We were at FW3 again. Fishing in Singapore is so hard….the government are closing so many fishing holes due to development. Shooting marker in FW3 is also getting harder due to the water current flow. Why is everything so damn hard? We decided to use another secret bait and were rewarded with good number of fishes. Total about 10 fishes landed in 4 hours time with mostly small redtail catfish and chao phraya. I landed the unexpected fish at night.

Amazon Fishing Day at FW3

Fred and I decided to fish at FW3 after the prawn fishing session. Weather was extremely hot in the morning and I couldnt take the morning sun as well as last time…We started at 7am and ended at 1030 am as the sun was too overbearing.

Fred started the day with a retail catfish followed by 2 more red tail catfish as well.

My turn to tangle with a feisty Pacu

Fred landed an unusual suspect identified as Peacock Bass

Thunder Storm did not dampen us. . .

Fred, WJ and I were scratching head on where to go and we decided to check out a old spot. Upon tedious trekking and climbing, it started to drizzle. We had to stop casting as there were no shelter except the car. We decided to head to farmway 3 after managing to buy some power mix from a 24 hour supermarket in Ang Mo Kio central at 3 a.m!

Weather was not kind to us…thunderstorm and heavy rain engulfed us throughout the night and it was extremely challenging to shoot marker. Wind was blowing strong with the marker swaying left and right. Despite that, I had pretty good results. 2 x patin, 1 x grassie, 1 x unstoppable suspected a redtail cat and a lost fight of unknown to end the day. WJ tried shooting marker the first time and attempted a baby chao phraya. Fred got zero as he ate 2 x prata with egg at Jalan Kayu. Hahahaha

Nothing much to shout about…lost a few hookups. Fred also lost a suspected big red tail cat.

Hook up in mouth on shooting marker. New species added to my book.
